ClearLine Plumbing is a residential plumbing company based in Windsor, California. We focus on six areas of residential service — water heaters, repipes, sewer line, gas, drain cleaning, and general service and repair — across northern Sonoma County. The work is documented, quoted in writing before we start, and built around customers who want a plumber they can call again.
How we work
Every job starts with an in-home diagnostic. We look at the actual scope, identify the root cause, and walk you through your options — each with a clear price, in writing, before any work begins. You see the numbers before we touch a wrench. The number you agree to is the number you pay. No hourly billing, no surprise add-ons.
Before, during, and after photos on every job. A line-item invoice. A written diagnosis. All emailed within two hours of leaving your driveway. You have a complete record. The next plumber — yours or the next homeowner's — has a starting point. Documentation is part of the job, not an extra.
We work in four primary neighborhoods on purpose — Windsor, Healdsburg, Fountaingrove, Bennett Valley — and accept work across the wider Sonoma County area on request. Tight focus means familiarity: we know the housing stock, the soil, and the common failure modes by era of build. Plumbing built for a relationship, not a transaction.
Our standards
Out of scope on purpose
We don't take new construction work. We don't take remodel work. We don't run 24/7 emergency dispatch. We don't quote prices over the phone — accurate pricing requires an in-home diagnostic and a written estimate. We don't install builder-grade substitutes for properly specified materials.
The scope is narrow by design. It's what lets us do the in-scope work consistently — with the documentation, the timelines, and the standards we hold ourselves to. If a job we'd otherwise turn away has a clean fit with what we do, we'll often accept it. If it doesn't, we'll tell you who to call instead.
Founder
ClearLine Plumbing LLC was founded by Robert Henningsen, a California-licensed contractor (CSLB #970655) with over a decade of residential plumbing experience in Sonoma County. The company is built around the work standards Robert spent years refining as a sole operator — photo documentation, written quotes, flat-rate pricing, and the discipline of saying no to work outside scope.
ClearLine continues to grow under those standards.
